Paws up to The Art of Racing in the Rain..

It’s been a crazy week so far but I want to make sure that I share my thoughts on my latest read before the week is out- The Art of Racing in the Rain by Garth Stein.  I started to read it last week on the train ride back from NYC and really loved it!

The Art of Racing in the Rain is a really a wonderful novel. This book, like a few other books out there is told from the perspective of  the family dog (Enzo in this book). Readers who love their pets will be particularly drawn to this book.  But even those who aren’t big animal lovers will still appreciate it.  It is about family, love, loyalty and faith.  The family in this book faces a number of challenges but find the strength to face these obstacles with Enzo by their side.   It is a bit sad at times but filled with wonderful life lessons.  I have to admit, there are only a few books out there that can make me cry and this one did it.  A good cry that is!  Paws up to The Art of Racing in the Rain!

Dog Lover’s Book Not To Be Missed

I recently read You Had Me at Woof by Julie Klam.  I loved it!  It is a book for anyone who has a dog, has once lost a dog or for those that just love dogs in general! What’s not to love!!

There were moments that had me laughing out loud (even woke up my husband at one point) and others that made me shed a tear.  Above all, this book made me appreciate my past and present furry friends.  Great gift for you and your dog lovin’ friends.

They tell me this is a great book! Too bad I can't read 🙂
